1. Large nozzle mold:
Large nozzle mold means that the gate and runner are on the parting line, and they are demolded together with the product when the mold is opened. Its design is the simplest, and it is easy to process and low in cost, so many people use large nozzle molds. The injection mold structure is divided into two parts: the movable mold and the fixed mold. The movable part along with the injection molding machine is a movable mold (mostly on the ejection side). It is generally inactive at the injection end of the injection molding machine, so it is called a fixed mold. Since the fixed mold part of the large nozzle mold is generally composed of two steel plates, this type of structural mold is also called "two-plate mold". The simplest structure in the large nozzle mold is the two-plate mold.
2. Nozzle mold:
Runners and gates are not on the parting line, usually directly on the product. Therefore, it is necessary to design one more nozzle parting line, the design is more complicated and the processing is more difficult. Generally, the fine nozzle system should be selected according to the requirements of the injection mold product. The fixed part of the nozzle mold is generally composed of three steel plates, so this type of structural mold is also called "three-plate mold". The three-plate mold is the simplest structure in the nozzle mold.
3. Hot runner mold:
This type of injection molding mold has roughly the same structure as the nozzle. The biggest difference is that the runner is in one or more hot runner plates and hot nozzles with constant temperature. There is no cold material demoulding, and the runner and gate are directly on the product. Therefore, the runner does not need to be demolded. This system is also called no nozzle system, which can save raw materials. It is suitable for the situation that the raw materials are expensive and the product requirements are high, the design and processing are difficult, and the mold cost is high. The hot runner system is mainly composed of hot runner sleeve, hot runner plate and temperature control electric box.
Our common hot runner system has two forms: single-point hot gate and multi-point hot gate. The single-point hot gate uses a single hot gate sleeve to directly inject molten plastic into the cavity, which is suitable for injection molds with a single cavity and single gate; Multi-point hot gate is to branch the molten material into each sub-heat gate sleeve through the hot runner plate and then enter the cavity. It is suitable for single-cavity multi-point feeding or multi-cavity molds.
